Cystic Fibrosis
During this project, we were asked to research a genetic disease. The, we used concepts of protein synthesis, DNA, and mutation to discover what caused the disease. We then presented our finding in a creative way to our class. Below, is out stop motion video on cystic fibrosis.
Many diseases are caused my by genetics. That is why is it is more likely to get certain health issues is they are in your family history. If there is an issue in the code of your DNA, the mRNA will direct protein synthesis incorrectly. The incorrect sequence could manifest itself in many health issues.

CODON /ANTI CODON
A codon is a group of three nucleotides in DNA or RNA. Each codon codes for a specific amino acid. An anti codon is also a group of three nucleotides, but the purpose is to fit in with the codons. Anti codons are in tRNA. This means the have the opposite nucleotide on the base pair to the one that is on the codon.

Reflection
I believe our final product turned out well because it got all our information across in a fun, comprehensible way. I do think that our collaboration could be improved. We did not always utilize our class time to its full potential when made it challenging in the end because it was more stressful getting everything done before the due date. I learned that a little bit of pressure to get things done can actually be helpful in productivity, as long is there isn't too much procrastination. I also learned how to make a stop motion film during this project. To improve I should learn how to organize my time and use ghantt charts more religiously. During the project, our group did some very good research together and created a good way to organize it in a way that we could all see it and understand it. We were in the process of making a power point and it was hard to have delete all that work and start on a new final product. One good thing about this set back is that it helped create ideas for our film so we didn't completely have to scrap all of our ideas.
