Save Green Sea Turtles
Learning up to this project we lived a lot b the vastly complicated in working of ecosystems, from symbiotic relations to food webs, and trophic levels. So, when it came to doing our final project, we had a good general knowledge that prepared us.
We were instructed to pick either a threatened ecosystem of and endangered animal that we could advocate for. Our group chose the green sea turtles. We then researched our species, its ecosystem, factors that affect it, human impact, and other information. When we had sufficient research we came up with an action plan to help the species. Our group chose to make and sell bracelets, giving the profits to organizations that help green sea turtles. We also chose to create a social media platform to spread awareness. We also used it to advertise our bracelets, so more of our peers would buy them.

Context
Abiotic/biotic factors
abiotic factor-a nonliving condition or thing, as climate or habitat, that influences or affects an ecosystem and the organisms in it.
biotic factor-any living component that affects another organism, or shapes the ecosystem
relates to our project-we had to determine all the factors, both biotic and abiotic that are affecting our organism and are causing it to be endangered.

biomes
biosphere
a collection of all the biomes on earth, the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth (or analogous parts of other planets) occupied by living organisms.
relates to our project-we had to consider what effect our solution would have on the world as a whole, and see if there were and negative effects of our product.

photosynthesis
he process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct.
relates to our project- turtles get energy by eating producers that to photosynthesis to create nutrients.

symbiotic relationships
Mutualism- a relationship where to organisms benefit.
Commensalism- a relationship where one organism benefits and the other is not effected.
Parasitism- a relationship where one organism benefits from its host while the host is negatively effected.
Competition-a relationship where organisms compete with each other for the same resources.
Relates to our project- it is important to know the relationships that turtles have with other organisms and how they impact turtle populations.

trophic levels
Each of several hierarchical levels in an ecosystem, comprising organisms that share the same function in the food chain and the same nutritional relationship to the primary sources of energy.
Relates to our project- it is important to know what consumer level our species is on and what is says about the energy and nutrients it receives.

Reflection
This project was interesting not only because is topic, but also because it had to potential to make a positive change. There were many pieces to orchestrate, from researching, planning a solution, to making bracelets, and selling them. Everyone in our group had to coordinate with each other to make sure all the work was done to a good standard.
To improve our work quality, we could have spent more time marketing to make people aware of our product and its cause. This would have likely raised the amount of sales and increased the revenue we could donate. We could do this by posting more on our instagram, networking with other organizations, and finding to platforms on which to spread awareness.
On the other hand, our final product turned out very well. We were able to raise a significant amount of money for the cause and educate more people on negative human impact. In this process, we not only spread awareness and created interest for green sea turtles, but also endangered organisms in general.
To improve myself, I would like to enhance overall leadership skills. I would also like to become better at explaining my visions to my group. I believe that if I can find a way to provide helpful, progressive instruction, I would become a much better group member. I would also like to improve my multitasking skills so I can work on many aspects of the project at the same time and make sure everything gets done.
